Here is how Twitter reacted after Real were crushed 3-0 by Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey semi-finals.
Real Madrid did well to keep Barcelona in check during the first leg, but it was an entirely different story at Santiago Bernabeu which saw them come away as 3-0 winners. Ernesto Valverde’s men took their chances and produced a scintillating attacking display.
When Nelson Semedo pulled the ball back, Luis Suarez got an extraordinary connection to not provide any chance to the shot-stopper Keylor Navas in the second half. The Blaugrana once against broke through the break and Ousmane Dembele saw Luis Suarez’s run and squared the ball.
But, Raphael Varane diverted the ball into his own net with the hopes of deflecting the ball away for a corner. It was once again a counter attack as the Uruguyuan Luis Suarez was brought down by Casemiro in the penalty box. Barcelona’s number 9 took a composed panenka penalty to make sure that the Los Blancos were heavily defeated.
It was a tough game, but in reality, the hosts missed several chances as Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and Lucas Vazquez could not find the final touch which mattered.
It will be a tough pill to take for Santiago Solari, but there were plenty of positive moments in the attacking parts of the game. On the other hand, Barcelona enters the finals for the sixth time on a trot and will be hoping to come out on top as they prepare to face either Real Betis or Valencia at Benito Villamarin Stadium on May 25th.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Barcelona’s comprehensive win over Real Madrid to reach the finals.
Santiago Bernabeu is like a training ground for Barcelona. Sick set of results they have over the last few years.

Barcelona haven’t had more El Clásico wins than Real Madrid since before Franco and the dictatorship. Overcoming this deficit started with Cruyff and could end with Messi. Special.

Barcelona have scored 40 goals in away games against Real Madrid in the past 10 years. They average four per season. Remarkable.
