Conor McGregor’s UFC career

The Irishman has had an incredible career in the UFC. While his recent run of form is something he would like to forget, nobody can discount the fact that, in his prime, McGregor was one of the best in the world.

Conor McGregor made his UFC debut in 2014 and, just after a year, he went on to become the UFC featherweight champion against Jose Aldo. Moreover, in less than a year, he then went on to beat Eddie Alvarez to become the lightweight champion. By doing so, he became the first-ever double champion in the history of the UFC.

However, McGregor then seemingly lost his track as he went on to fight Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Upon his return to the UFC in 2018, he lost three of his four fights against the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and twice against Dustin Poirier.
