In 2014, UFC released its first-ever video game franchise in partnership with a leading brand, Electronic Arts for Xbox and PlayStation. Ever since then, they have produced four parts of the franchise, and currently, UFC 5 is in the making.
EA has followed a similar pattern and released every UFC game with a two years gap. The UFC 4 was released back in 2020. That being said, UFC 5 has taken more time to launch than usual. Thus, fans are curious about the release date of the much-anticipated game.
UFC 5 release date- when will the game launch?
As of writing this, there is no official announcement made regarding the release date of UFC 5. However, Tom Henderson, a freelance video game journalist in one of his tweet stated that the game will be launched around the third quarter of 2023.
“UFC 5 is summer 23, I believe. A Fight Night reboot had to be *paused* for it,” Tom Henderson wrote. The Esports journalist also added that development on Fight Night was halted to create UFC 5.

According to many reports on the internet, the UFC 5 will have a lot of improvements, including Grappling mechanics, Striking & stamina balancing, Improved commentary, career immersion, and more.
It is also said that UFC 5 will have new fighters and locations added to the roster like Fight Island. The much-anticipated game will be released for Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation consoles, per reports.
Conor McGregor: Will He be in UFC 5?
Yes, the pay-per-view superstar of the promotion Conor McGregor will feature in UFC 5. However, there are no reports on what position he will hold on the roster. The former UFC lightweight champion hasn’t competed in the promotion for almost a year now after his leg injury. However, he has completely recovered and might return to action in the third quarter of 2023.
