Khabib Nurmagomedov has been all over the news over the past week after it was revealed that he is planning to cut all ties with the sport of MMA. The Dagestani is a legend of the sport. He retired from fighting in 2020 following his win over Justin Gaethje.

However, since then he has been involved in coaching but it looks like the end of the road for that as well. A lot of people have come out and supported the decision of the Dagestani. However, Henry Cejudo has offered a piece of advice to the former UFC lightweight champion on how to balance his life.

What did Henry Cejudo say to Khabib Nurmagomedov?

As mentioned earlier, recent reports have revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov might be stepping away from everything related to MMA. The reason for the same lies in the fact that he wants to spend more of his time with his family and build upon his businesses.

However, former UFC champion Henry Cejudo recently offered his advice. In a recently uploaded YouTube video, Cejudo talked about how Nurmagomedov should become more of a consultant than a coach and not be involved in the day-to-day activities of a fighter. That way, the Dagestani would lead a balanced life and be able to spend more time with his family as well.

Cejudo said, “I think if you’re able to change your model, become more of a consultant, and not having the ability to travel and still be involved in MMA, I think that’s more of a role I think you would fit into.”

What will happen to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC?

Back in 2020 Khabib Nurmagomedov bought Gorilla FC and renamed it Eagle FC in his attempt to become an MMA promoter. While there have been reports of him stepping away entirely from MMA, there is no confirmation as of yet that indicates anything about his future with the MMA organization. That said, we will have to wait for official word from Khabib Nurmagomedov himself on the matter.
