Dillon Danis, a Bellator fighter and close friend of former UFC champion Conor McGregor, has come up with an absurd challenger for unbeaten boxer Errol Spence Jr. after he made a snide remark about a forthcoming Bellator event. The highly anticipated Bellator MMA vs. Rizin 2 is set to take place on On July 29. Bellator MMA and the Rizin Fighting Federation will co-promote the event, which will take place in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Despite an intriguing fight card, Errol Spence Jr. took a shot at it on Twitter. Danis responded swiftly with harsh words and a monetary challenge for the fighter.
What did Dillion Danis say to Errol Spence Jr.?
The upcoming Bellator event will be headlined by a quarterfinal match of the Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix between former Bellator Featherweight Champion A.J. McKee and former Bellator Lightweight Champion Patricky Pitbull. Meanwhile, the co-main event will be an inaugural Bellator Flyweight Championship fight between Kyoji Horiguchi and Makoto Shinryu.
Talking about the event Errol Spence Jr. said:
“Nobody gives a f*ck about Bellator MMA, July 29.”
I honestly don’t know who you are, but if you can survive one round in a real fight against me, I’ll donate 5 million to any charity of your choice. https://t.co/WipU9iRWn1

However, this didn’t sit well with the Bellator star. In his response, Dillon Danis stated that he didn’t know about the boxer. He also challenged him to a fight. Danis wrote:
“I honestly don’t know who you are, but if you can survive one round in a real fight against me, I’ll donate $5,000,000 to any charity of your choice.”
The Bellator star Danis Rose to prominence in the MMA world following the epic Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov battle in 2018. Danis was preparing the Irish superstar for the mega fight at the time. He was later inactive owing to an injury. But it appears like Danis is back on McGregor’s side.
Conor McGregor prepares for UFC return with Dillon Danis
Conor McGregor has been out of fighting for over two years now, after his injury. However, earlier this year it was announced that he will headline a pay-per-view against Michael Chandler.
Ever since then, McGregor has returned to training and vigorously honing his striking as well as grappling. He was also recently spotted sparing with jiu-jitsu protégé Dillon Danis in New York. McGregor posted about it on his official Instagram account.
Although it is thrilling to watch McGregor prepare for his return, it is also worth noting that he has missed the USADA deadline for entering the testing pool. As a result, the fight with Chandler is in jeopardy. However, the UFC has yet to issue a formal statement on the matter. As a result, fans will have to wait.
Do you guys think this fight will happen this year? What are your thoughts on Danis’ challenge for Spence Jr.?
