Dwayne Johnson, aka ‘The Rock’ has established himself as of the most successful actors in the industry. While he started his career as a professional wrestler, he left it to pursue acting and slowly made his name in Hollywood. As a result, he is earned himself a massive fortune and is valued at over $800 million at the moment.

Coming from humble beginnings, Dwayne Johnson has not let fame and success get to his head, a quality which is applauded by many. Staying true to that nature, the Hollywood star offered to help a UFC welterweight fighter, who is in the initial phase of his career.

Dwayne Johnson recalls the time he had $7 while offering help to a UFC fighter

‘The Rock’ recently offered help to a UFC fighter who had only $7.49 in his bank account. Themba Gorimbo, a fighter hailing from Africa, was seen in action this past May against Takashi Sato.

After securing his maiden UFC victory, Gorimbo revealed his financial condition and spoke about how relieved he was after the win, as it would help him.

Upon seeing the same, Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to respond to Themba Gorimbo and offered a helping hand to the UFC fighter. While suggesting that he once had only $7 as well, ‘The Rock’ said:

“This is f’n crazy to see and brings back many emotions and memories. $7.49 in this fighter’s bank account. I once had $7 bucks, too. I’ve been there on that grind. Got your back, brother. I’ll help. You got this. I’ll be in touch, Themba Gorimbo. #hardestworkersintheroom.”

It’s safe to say that ‘The Rock’ was visibly moved upon finding out the story of Themba Gorimbo. The gesture will certainly help Gorimbo a lot, as he finds himself in a tricky spot.

‘The Rock’ will be returning to the Fast and Furious franchise

The Fast and Furious franchise is preparing to deliver its final two installments. And it looks like ‘The Rock’ will be making his long-awaited return on the same. Johnson was first featured in Fast 5.

However, he proceeded to walk away from the franchise following its eighth installment after having a fallout with Vin Diesel. But, after years of trying to convince Dwayne Johnson to return, the makers of the film are finally relieved as the former WWE superstar will return to the iconic franchise for the final two installments of Fast and Furious.

‘The Rock’ confirmed the same by posting a video on his social media where he announced his long-awaited return. This will surely excite the fans. It will be interesting to see what surprises the last installment brings.

What do you guys think about Johnson returning to the Fast and Furious franchise? What are your thoughts on ‘The Rock’ offering to help?
