Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest star the world of MMA has ever seen. At the same time, his rise to becoming a UFC champion has played a significant role in making him a household name. It was also his trash-talking that made him famous during his early days. He is considered being one of the best trash talkers in the industry and certainly knows how to get into his opponent’s head. One of his most famous trash talks was when he berated his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov and even his family in the lead-up to UFC 229 in 2018.
Interestingly, the same seems to have inspired McGregor’s friend and training partner Dillon Danis for his upcoming fight against Logan Paul on October 14 in Manchester, England.

Dillon Danis seems to have taken inspiration from Conor McGregor when it comes to trash-talking. Danis has made things very personal with Logan Paul ahead of their highly anticipated fight.
The former Bellator star has continuously mocked Paul’s fiance Nina Agdal by sharing her pictures with her exes and also explicit pictures. Speaking of the same during a recent appearance on the Full Send podcast, Dillon Danis compared his mocking of Logan Paul’s fiance to Conor McGregor involving Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wife in their respective bout back in 2018 for the UFC lightweight championship. While suggesting that he’s doing this just to “sell” the fight, Danis said:
“It’s the same thing, we’re selling [the fight]. You gotta sell the fight. That’s the whole part of it, you know. I don’t know, I don’t think I went too far. I think that with the girl, it’s hard when they are in your ear.”
Before their title fight at UFC 299, ‘The Notorious’ mocked Nurmagomedov by infamously calling his wife a ‘towel.’ The same tactics have been used by Danis now.
It’s safe to say that Dillon Danis does not believe that involving the partner of your opponent is too far. That said, it will be interesting to see if Logan Paul is affected by it in any way.
Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis: A brief
Danis and Paul share a long rivalry. The Bellator fighter even has a feud with Logan’s younger brother, Jake Paul. Now, they will settle their beef inside the squared ring this October. This is Danis’ boxing debut. Meanwhile, Paul has had a boxing run against KSI and Floyd Mayweather in the past.
While the rounds are not confirmed at the moment, it looks like the highly anticipated bout between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis will be scheduled for six rounds. Interestingly, Danis recently came out and claimed that it was Paul’s idea to make the fight a six-rounder while he was ready to go for more.
However, Logan Paul clapped back at Dillon Danis’ claims and revealed that his team was indeed trying to make the fight eight rounds while Danis and his team ghosted the idea altogether.
