Dana White hints at Conor McGregor UFC return. The former UFC Champ-Champ announced his retirement in the middle of this year.
Despite retiring from the UFC, Conor McGregor remains one of UFC’s most popular personalities. Unlike his other retirements, McGregor remained adamant that this time he wouldn’t return to the sport. However, all signs point to McGregor making yet another U-turn on his decision to hang up his gloves.
For starters, McGregor was recently tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency as part of the UFC’s anti-doping program. Retired fighters are usually dropped from the anti-doping program. The fact that McGregor is still in it is proof that a return may be imminent.

Now UFC president Dana White has openly stated that he is currently in talks with the former UFC Champ about a possible return to the UFC. White claimed that McGregor could return next year and a fight was not guaranteed but they’re working on some stuff.
“We’re actually working on some fun stuff for Conor at the beginning of next year,” White revealed when speaking to ESPN on Thursday. “He should be back next year.
“I’m not saying he’s coming back to fight guaranteed, but we’re talking right now about some stuff.”

McGregor was recently arrested for accusations of “attempted sexual assault.” He was questioned and released by authorities later that night a rep and his lawyer “vigorously denied any accusations of misconduct.”
McGregor’s manager Audie Attar released a statement denying the accusations citing McGregor will not be a target of those seeking a headline or payday, per ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
“AFP reported a complaint was filed Thursday against Conor McGregor in France for alleged attempted sexual assault & sexual exhibitionism,” Helwani tweeted. “The AFP, citing prosecutors, stated McGregor was arrested and released following a hearing.
