Khabib Nurmagomedov is widely considered to be one of the greatest MMA fighters to ever step into the octagon. He retired from the sport with a perfect record of 29-0 back in 2020, following his fight against Justin Gaethje. However, his love for MMA has still kept him around as he proceeded to then train fighters. Apart from his love for the sport of MMA, Khabib Nurmagomedov is also known for his passion for football. ‘The Eagle’ is often spotted playing the sport as well.
Moreover, he has been seen alongside Cristiano Ronaldo a couple of times as well, who happens to be his favorite footballer. Showing his love for the sport. ‘The Eagle’ recently sent a message to the English Premier League club Manchester City.
What did Khabib Nurmagomedov say about Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League win?
Despite being a fan of Real Madrid, the former UFC lightweight champion was rather content with the fact that Manchester City won the UEFA Champions League.
While many won’t find it conflicting with his love for Real Madrid, it is worth noting that City got to the finals of the Champions League by beating Real Madrid 4-1 across two legs of their semi-final.
Manchester City took on Inter Milan in the final of European club football’s most prestigious prize and won the competition for the first time in their history by beating their opponents 1-0 at regular time.

Is Nurmagomedov back to coaching?
While ‘The Eagle’ got into training fighters following his retirement from fighting, it was revealed earlier this year that he will be stepping away from coaching as well. The reason for the same was told to be the fact that he wants to spend more time with his family.
However, Khabib Nurmagomedov has been spotted training with his former colleagues at AKA and has even shared some pictures of their training on Instagram.
While there are recent pictures of Nurmagomedov at the gym, the pictures fail to give a clear indication of his return to coaching. That said, nothing can be said about this with certainty until and unless the former UFC lightweight champion makes a revelation about the same himself.
