Khabib Nurmagomedov made quite the name for himself in the sport of MMA, leaving behind a legacy that makes a strong case for him to be called the greatest of all time. The former UFC lightweight champion retired, with a perfect 29-0 record under his belt after beating Justin Gaethje in 2020. Many believed Nurmagomedov retired early and wanted to see more of him inside the cage. However, Nurmagomedov teased the fans recently after suggesting that he has a big announcement coming up.

Interestingly, soon after revealing that, the former UFC champion also revealed that he had a medical check-up in Abu Dhabi. Later, the Russian star was spotted training with his manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Khabib Nurmagomedov spotted training after hinting at a big announcement

As mentioned earlier, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently teased his fans by suggesting he has a big announcement coming up. However, he also clarified that it has nothing to do with MMA.

While Khabib Nurmagomedov clarified that the announcement has nothing to do with MMA, his manager Ali Abdelaziz sparked the rumors of his return again after his latest Instagram post.

Abdelaziz took to Instagram to share a picture of him with the former UFC champion in which ‘The Eagle’ can be seen training. He said, “This for life never end @ @khabib_nurmagomedov”

With Ali Abdelaziz’s recent post, it’s safe to say that fans’ eagerness to find out about Nurmagomedov’s announcement has only increased. That said, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Both fighters had a lot on the line and their rivalry was arguably one of the best rivalries the sport has ever seen. While Nurmagomedov was able to get the job in round four of the fight via submission, he also left the octagon significantly richer that night.

‘The Eagle’ reportedly had a base salary of $2 million and, on the flip side, Conor McGregor had a base pay of $3 million. It is worth noting that the base pay does include the pay-per-view share and other incentives. Considering the fight sold 2.4 million pay-per-views, both fighters are expected to have made somewhere around $20-50 million from their bout.

What are your thoughts on Nurmagomedov’s biggest fight in his career? What do you guys think about Abdelaziz’s recent post?
