“I Am Pettier Than Michael Jordan”: Israel Adesanya Believes He Hold Bigger Grudges Than 6x NBA Winner

Israel Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, recently showcased his true colors of pettiness and competitiveness following his victory over Alex Pereira. While Adesanya has often expressed his competitive drive in the past, the extent of it had remained somewhat hidden. Surprisingly, he even goes so far as to consider himself pettier than the legendary Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan, the six-time NBA champion, is famous for his lack of humility and down-to-earth demeanor. Throughout his career, there have been numerous instances where Jordan revealed his petty nature to his fans. One notable example occurred when he declined to spend time with Salley in his Ferrari after the Pistons defeated the Bulls.

Therefore, it was quite unexpected when Adesanya claimed to possess a pettiness surpassing that of Michael Jordan. It is Jordan’s unparalleled drive and competitiveness that have propelled him to fame and facilitated his remarkable success throughout his career.

Israel Adesanya claims to be a notch above Michael Jordan in Pettiness

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya firmly believes that he possesses a higher level of pettiness compared to the six-time NBA champion, Michael Jordan. Adesanya solidified his position as a two-time UFC world champion by defeating Alex Pereira at UFC 287. Notably, this victory marked the first time Adesanya had emerged triumphant against Pereira in their four encounters across both Kickboxing and MMA fights. ‘Izzy’ met with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak where they talked about Adesanya’s personal and fighter life.

He said, “Michael Jordan’s right here and I think I’m just over here or maybe just a notch above. Shoutout to Mike but I like to believe I’m petty.

In the aftermath of the fight, Adesanya’s actions and social media posts provided glimpses into his petty nature. As part of his post-fight activities, he appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast, ‘Impaulive’. During the podcast, Adesanya openly expressed his belief that he surpasses Michael Jordan in terms of pettiness, highlighting his self-perceived superiority in this regard.

Israel Adesanya hates losing

In an interview with the UFC panel prior to UFC 287, Israel Adesanya discussed his mindset leading up to the fight. He shared his thoughts on how he approaches the fight mentally and addressed his perspective on the experience of losing. This drive is what brings out the petty side of him.

Adesnaya said, “Losing sucks.. I hate f*ckin losing.

Losing is something that Israel Adesanya detests, as he expressed during the interview. The feeling of defeat is truly unpleasant for him. Adesanya’s relentless desire is to be a consistent winner, always striving for victory. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that he has faced significant losses in his life and has acquired the ability to overcome them, demonstrating resilience and an ability to move forward.
