Conor McGregor is impressed with Max Holloway’s UFC Fight Island 7 performance; says he would happily accept a rematch against him.
With one of a kind performance at UFC Fight Island 7, Max Holloway has reaffirmed his status as one of the elites. The victory was so extraordinary that on the day the commentators, analysts, observers, fighters, etc. everybody unanimously praised Max Holloway.
During the event, in the midst of a back-and-forth with Kattar, Holloway clamored about being the best boxer in UFC. The fighter’s loud chant was heard by many and it is a general realization that not many can argue his claim. However, the sport’s most recognized name Conor McGregor took to social media to express his frivolous dissent on Holloway’s claim.

Conor McGregor lauds Max Holloway for his epic performance at UFC Fight Island 7
While McGregor apparently disagrees with Holloway on his Boxing claim but in an interview with The MacLife he did acknowledge the Blessed’s incredible spectacle, which he created at UFC Fight Island 7.
“I thought it was a solid performance. He fought an up and comer and he done well. I was actually doing an interview there and he skateboarded by the window, so he’s obviously hanging around. Yeah, fair play to him. More power to him,” said Conor McGregor.
McGregor and Holloway have met once in the Octagon before in 2013. Both were rising Featherweight contenders at that time and it was McGregor who had the last laugh on that occasion. So, with the Irishman making his comeback at UFC 257 and plans to stay active through the year, there is a possibility that at some point in the foreseeable future these two may agree for a rematch.
“He’s definitely in the pipeline for a bout against me, for sure. I would happily rematch Max and after a performance like that, he’s put himself right up there,” added McGregor.
