Khamzat Chiaev’s Next Fight

Khamzat Chimaev’s fight with Leon Edwards is re-booked for March 13 and after failing to get past the fight sheet on two occasions, it is expected that the curse has ended and the third time will be a charm.

Who will enter as the favorite? Khamzat has had a tremendous 2020, the fighter debuted at the UFC scene in July 2020, and within 66 days had three victories to his name. With this impressive show in the Octagon, Chimaev in quick time made his way into the Welterweight rankings as well. The 28-year-old holds the 15th spot in the UFC Welterweight rankings.

While 2020 turned out to be unforgettable for Khamzat Chimaev, for Leon Edwards it proved to be quite the opposite. Throughout the year, Rocky was seeking an opportunity to get inside the ring again, and even saw his name cut off from the Top-15 on account of inactivity (More than a year). After enduring all the frustration, when finally he got booked alongside Khamzat, the Pandemic played its part. Leon Edwards is still on an 8-match winning streak. And he is looking to get that one last push to reach the title shot.

So, the build-up is ideal, and on March 13, we will finally witness who will prevail in this fight between the newcomer Vs. the old guard.
