Khabib Nurmagomedov was present inside the Etihad Arena at UFC Fight Island 8. The Eagle came in as a member of his brother Umar Nurmagomedov’s camp.
On Wednesday, the current undisputed Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made his way back to the UFC arena. Nurmagomedov, who over the weekend held a meeting with UFC president Dana White is still present inside Fight Island and moreover, at UFC Fight Island 8 he even entered the Octagon.
While he was not on the fight sheet, yet UFC Fight Island 8 was an event of concern of Khabib Nurmagomedov, as one of his family members Umar Nurmagomedov made his debut at the preliminary card of the event.
How is Umar Nurmagomedov Related To Khabib Nurmagomedov?
Umar Nurmagomedov is a younger cousin of Khabib and like his brother, he is also from Dagestan and undefeated. The younger Nurmagomedov is 25 years old and at UFC Fight Island 8 he officially made his debut at the biggest MMA promotion in the world.
At the event, Umar faced Sergey Morozov, who is from Kazakhstan and was also making his UFC debut. It was a 3-round fight that ended in the second after Umar submitted Sergey with a rear-naked choke at the 3:39 mark. With this win, Umar Nurmagomedov is 13-0 in MMA.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was a member of Umar’s camp, did his bit from outside and constantly voiced his encouragement for his cousin.
Upon witnessing his cousin’s victory, Khabib took a sigh of relief and later also entered inside the Octagon to give his brother an embrace. Although, smashing opponents is his forte but the Eagle is also known for his sportsmanship, thus after the culmination of the fight he even met his sibling’s opponent for the day, and his team apparently give them some consolation.
