UFC Vegas 18 co-main event witnessed an insane Knockout maneuver from Cory Sandhagen. The Sandman got the better of Frankie Edgar in 28 seconds of the first round.

UFC Vegas 18 resumed the Vegas series this week and the much-anticipated Bantamweight feature bout between Cory Sandhagen and Frankie Edgar became the testament of perhaps the potential knockout of the year. In the fight, Sandhagen entered as the favorite and ended proceedings with his first attack.

It was the lethal knee strike of Sandman that hit the intended target at the 28-second mark of the first round and left the UFC veteran Frankie Edgar unconscious.

The fight apparently carried title implications but, after what transpired at the event it might be a mere formality to give Cory Sandhagen the title shot.

In the post-match comment section, Cory Sandhangen mentioned that he eyes a title shot and intends to fight the winner of Petr Yan Vs. Aljamain Sterling in July.

Noticing, Sandhagen’s victory, the Bantamweight champion Petr Yan, and the current No.1 contender Aljamin Sterling took to social media to express their opinion on Cory Sndhagen’s win.
