“Miley Cyrus, will you be my Valentine?”: UFC Middleweight Julian Marquez Makes An Unusual Callout At UFC 258
Julian Marquez asked Miley Cyrus to be his Valentine. The fighter submitted Maki Pitolo in the opening match of the main card at UFC 258.
UFC 258 main card witnessed blitz from the outset as Julian Marquez and Maki Pitolo carried out a slugfest to remember. Marquez entered the ring as the heavy favorite, however, what transpired at the Octagon again proved that odds hold little value once the fighters get locked in.
In the fight, Pitolo made a strong start and was dominant throughout the first round. After a shaky start, Marquez settled into his stance and made several adjustments to counter the apt wrestling of Pitolo. While Pitolo was the clear winner of the first round, the second one was apparently a tie.
In the final round, both fighters were clearly exhausted and until the halfway mark it was anybody’s game. However, at the end of the 4th minute, Marquez consolidated the Guillotine attempt and made Pitolo submit at the 4:17 mark of the round.

“Miley Cyrus Will You Be My Valentine”
In the post-match comment section with Joe Rogan, the winner of the fight Julian Marquez was quite expressive. He initiated a Twitter hashtag and later made a callout as well. Contrary to the usual callout, where the victor challenges the fighter he wants to face next, Marquez made a rather benign and endearing shout.
Marquez made the best use of the platform to make the MMA enthusiasts know who he wants his Valentine’s date to be. On Live Tv, Julian Marquez asked the popular American singer and actress Miley Cyrus to be his Valentine.
