Just days before the ultimate arrival of UFC 257, Dana White has come out with a huge statement about the event’s main event protagonist, Conor McGregor.
UFC 257 is the first Pay-Per-View of the year and will mark the comeback of the sport’s most recognized professional Conor McGregor. While the fans worldwide are excited to witness another grand event of UFC and especially its headliner fight, Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier, it seems that the UFC chief is also as much hyped-up about the fight.
Dana White and Conor McGregor, who at one time used to be an ideal boss-employee pair, fell out recently after Conor McGregor revealed some of his personal chats with the UFC president, however, as the marquee event is set to arrive in less than two weeks apparently, the two are back to talking terms. Moreover, in a recent interview with ESPN, Dana White somewhat expressed his admiration for the Notorious one.
Dana White makes a big claim about Conor McGregor
In a chat with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Dana White implied that he can conclude that at UFC 257 the world will see a motivated Conor McGregor, the fighter who wants to fight without any second thought.
“I know when the real Conor is here and the other Conor is here and believe me when I tell you, the real Conor is here…This is one of the things that I have always given this kid so much credit for. If something happens to Dustin Poirier, he is the Conor McGregor right now, that does not give a s*** who we put in that fight on that night. He’s that gut right now. He’s going to be, ‘Who’s ready? Who you got? I’m going to the gym, tell me who’s showing up on Saturday.’ He’s that guy right now. That Conor McGregor is back.”
Further, Dana White also promoted the upcoming Pay-Per-View by stating that, “If you are a Conor McGregor fan, and you love everything about Conor McGregor fights, then don’t miss this one.”
