Who is Mick Maynard?: The Man Behind The Restructuring of Flyweight Division
Mick Maynard is one of the matchmakers in UFC. 4 years ago he was hired as the vice-president of the talent relations arm of the promotion. At the press event of UFC 256, Dana White said that it is Mick’s ideas that have elevated the division and pushed it to become one of the most exciting divisions in UFC now.
“I got to give it to Mick. Mick went in and restructured and rebuilt that division and it’s one of the most exciting divisions in the UFC now. And Tonight we put on a potential fight of the year and potential greatest fight ever in the division’s history. So, congrats to Mick.”
