The Eagle wants to train Gane
Former UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov has once made an invitation to Ciryl Gane to train with him in Dagestan. Back in 2022, Khabib expressed his desire to train the French fighter in wrestling, stating that it would take about two years for Gane to improve his skills.
It’s unclear whether Gane has taken up the offer, but training with Khabib could be a game-changer for Gane’s career.
He said,
“Ciryl Gane come to Dagestan brother. You have to come to Dagestan, stay there one and a half, two years, learn about wrestling…We have a lot of heavyweights who can wrestle with him. He has to learn wrestling and after a few years he can be champion.”
This offer comes after Gane’s defeat to Jon Jones in their recent fight, where Jones made quick work of him using his wrestling skills. If Gane were to train with Khabib, he could potentially improve his wrestling abilities and prevent future losses to fighters like Jones.
It remains to be seen whether Gane will accept Khabib’s offer and what impact it could have on his fighting career.
