Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov retired back in 2020 from the professional fighting. However, the Dagestani is not stopping here and has revealed that he has agreed to a lucrative deal with UFC head honcho Dana White on a recent Instagram Live.

On Instagram Live with White, Nurmagomedov stated that he has agreed to work on a documentary on his life in collaboration with UFC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov confirms his documentary

Dana White recently promoted UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie on Instagram Live where Khabib Nurmagomedov also joined him. That’s when the duo started discussing a documentary on the former UFC lightweight champion.

‘The Eagle’ revealed that the UFC has sent 20-25 cameras to his house. Upon hearing this, White asked Nurmagomedov if he was in for the idea. The Russian star replied positively, leaving White in shock. Check their conversation below:

Nurmagomedov said, “Right now, I’m working with your people. You send here like 25 camera about the documentary. (Oh alright, we doing this s**t? Or what are we doing?) Yeah, I’m working on this, like last five days. It’s very busy, you know. Even now, these people waiting for me. (So you’re in?) Yes, I’m in. (So there you go, you heard it here first ladies and gentlemen, we’re doing a documentary on Khabib, my man.)

Although Dana White and Nurmagomedov shared very few details on the documentary, ‘The Eagle’ is quite excited about the project. The former UFC lightweight champion stated that the documentary might come out in the summer of 2024. He even claimed that it would be one of the best documentaries in recent times.

Nurmagomedov’s rival Conor McGregor recently released his documentary

Conor McGregor, one of the greatest MMA stars and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s bitter opponent, released his own documentary ‘McGregor Forever’ on Netflix this year. The documentary covered McGregor’s fights and training camps over the years.

The documentary also featured a backstage video of his loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘McGregor Forever’ additionally covered McGregor’s climb from defeats and his recovery from a leg break in 2021.

McGregor’s documentary gave fans a thorough insight into his personal and professional life.
