Undertaker vs AJ Styles Wrestlemania 36 ‘Boneyard match’ proves to be an instant classic
Undertaker vs AJ Styles Wrestlemania 36 ‘Boneyard match’ proves to be an instant classic as the match brings the first night to a close.
Night one of this year’s Wrestlemania came to an end with the match between Undertaker and AJ Styles. The stipulation, ‘Boneyard match’, a rendition of the ‘buried alive match’, is one that the deadman was quite familiar with and it showed as he and Styles pulled off an incredibly entertaining encounter.
It was just one of those bizarre matches, that make no sense in bits and yet together, it becomes one of those matches we will talk about long after the event ends. To put it in perspective, imagine Matt Hardy’s Ultimate deletion, now multiply it by 10.

The headline act of the first day of Wrestlemania began with AJ Styles arriving at the location mocking the deadman. The Undertaker arrived as the ‘American Badass’ before he came to blows with the phenomenal one.
With the help of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, it appeared that AJ Styles won the match after he threw the deadman into the grave. However, the Undertaker appeared behind him when he got into the tractor to pour the dirt in.
The Undertaker than pummelled his opponent all over the graveyard before he finally kicked Styles into the grave and dumped the dirt in before he rode into the darkness on his motorcycle to bring an end to the first night of Wrestlemania 36 with ‘The Phenom’ vs ‘The Phenomenal one’ smashing it right out of the park.
