“Are you sleeping?”: Matteo Kovacic Launches Inquisition Into The Linesman’s Decision

Valencia Vs Chelsea: Watch Mateo Kovacic scoring his first goal for the Blues and saving them from elimination threats with the equalizer.

Chelsea is playing a crucial away game against Valencia as the result of this tie can overturn the qualification for the next round and the Blues are desperately looking for a win at the Mestalla stadium.

Both were in an intense competition but Valencia was dominating the tie in phases, but overall both the sides were not giving a fraction of air to each other.

Valencia initially got the success, as Carles Soler scored the opener to bring the Blues at the deficit. But Frank Lampard’s side kept the nerve and soon got success in front of the goal.

Mateo Kovacic who is in his second season at Chelsea scored the first goal for the west London club in the following minute when Soler scored. Ezequiel Garay did not clear the lines and nods it straight to Kovacic, who turns and smashes the ball past Jasper Cillessen.

A terrific sight to see and certainly an impressive way to open the goal-scoring tally at the club. Nevertheless, the scoreline looks deceiving as there have been much more goal-scoring chances on both sides.

Maxi Gomes missed two clear cut chances, which could have given a decent lead to Valencia in the game. On the other side, Cillessen has been impressive in the game and have denied the Blues to make any damage to his side.

With desperations about to increase in this game, it seems that the action will accelerate from over here and the game might see a number of chances in the second half.
