Tired of playing with just a keyboard and mouse in Valorant? You should try using a controller for Valorant. Here we talk about whether it is advisable to use one or no.
Valorant is becoming immensely popular lately. Controversies, tournaments, bans the game is in the news almost every other day. The game is made for PC though by Riot and so consoles weren’t in their mind. Without consoles comes the question of playing with or without controllers. In this article we will cover every aspect of using a controller for Valorant. Be it using it or if you should stick to mouse and keyboard.
How to use Controller to play Valorant –
You can play Valorant with a controller like the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One controller. Players who would like to plug an Xbox One or PS4 controller into their PC to play Valorant can do so without full support. The big issue here is of course the game itself. Valorant is meant to be played as a PC game with only using a mouse or a keyboard. Playing with the controller might give you a bad experience.
The issues one might face –
Valorant is having a very strict anti cheat software called as the Riot Vanguard. It might falsely flag your account or even your hardware ID. This could result in loss of in game purchases and skins in case our account gets flagged or banned. Unlike other shooting games like Call of Duty, Valorant is not having any aim assist with controllers. The playing style also matters a lot in the game. You need to be quick and turn around corners. Something like that is difficult performing on a Controller. Due to these reasons it is adviasable to stick to using a keyboard and mouse.
