Vicky Kaushal replies to BCCI

Vicky Kaushal replies to BCCI: The Bollywood actor congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the ODI series in New Zealand.

The sight of India beating New Zealand 4-1 in their own backyard was unheard before yesterday. Given how dangerous New Zealand are on their home soil, even the best of oppositions fail to go past them. On their previous trip, even India was beaten 0-4 in the five-match series.

India’s current victory speaks highly about this set of Indian cricketers striving hard to achieve success not just in India but across the world. Since the start of 2019, India have won six out of their eight ODIs, all being played abroad. Their current form calls for ideal preparation ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The fact that the series in New Zealand was India’s last chance to get their combination right in similar conditions to what they will be facing in England and the visitors making optimum use of it speaks highly about Indian team’s preparation for the world event.

After India won the series, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) posted a video of the players emulating the popular and trendy ‘How’s the Josh?’dialogue from Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster movie named ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.

Given how the dialogue has been doing the rounds across the country since the release of the movie, the video didn’t much time in going viral across social media platforms. “Looks like the ‘JOSH’ in the squad is ‘HIGH SIR’, ‘HOWS THE JOSH’ – Vicky Kaushal,” read the caption of the tweet which had the actor of the movie Vicky Kaushal tagged in it.

Quick to respond on the tweet, Kaushal sounded thrilled with the Indian victory and also congratulated the team. In addition to Kaushal, even director Dhar was seen congratulating the Indian team.
