Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a fabulous tour of South Africa, as he scored a bucketful of runs and was pivotal in India’s historic series triumph.

After losing the test series 2-1 to the hosts, India dominated the ODI series 5-1, with Kohli himself scoring three centuries in the series. India also won the T20I series 2-1, as the Men in Blue completed a very successful tour of South Africa.

Kohli missed the third and final T20I with a stiff back, as the team management decided to rest their skipper. Surprisingly, Kohli did not score much in the two T20Is, as the Indian skipper was dismissed cheaply on both occasions.

This saw him drop down in the T20I rankings as well, as Kohli fell down to 6th place in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Kohli is highest ranked Indian with KL Rahul next at 8th position.

MS Dhoni dropped down the rankings and now occupies the 34th position.

Among the bowlers, Rashid Khan’s was justly rewarded for a fantastic year, as he became the number one T20I bowler in the latest ICC rankings. Bumrah is the highest ranked Indian on this list, occupying the 5th position, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar the next best at number 12.
