Kohli posts wonderful message for RCB-teammate Dale Steyn

Kohli posts wonderful message for RCB-teammate Dale Steyn: RCB captain uploaded a brilliant post for his injured teammate.

Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has posted a wonderful message for his teammate Dale Steyn. Kohli’s post across his social media platforms has come as an aftermath of the veteran bowler returning back to injury after succumbing to a shoulder injury.

Originally not part of Royal Challengers’ squad, Steyn was called in midway in the tournament as a replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile.

In the two matches that he played for RCB before being rested in the match against Kings XI Punjab at Bengaluru. Steyn’s average of 17.25 and a strike rate of 12 in a couple of matches had fared well for Bangalore. The fact that he was successful in picking up early wickets in both the matches aided his team who were till then struggling in the same department.

“Dale felt discomfort after playing his second match at the tournament. Upon assessment and subsequent investigations, a flare-up of his right shoulder was confirmed. With the World Cup around the corner, it is our priority to get him back to full fitness before the squad departs on May 19.

“He will consult with a shoulder specialist upon his return and a recovery plan will be put in place,” South Africa team manager Dr. Mohammed Moosajee was quoted as saying on Steyn’s injury.

Coming on the back of six consecutive losses to commence their season, Royal Challengers have won four out of the last five matches. Despite reeling at No. 8 in the points table, RCB still have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs stage.
