Do something great and even the person who is the best in the world will look up to you. The Mumbai U-14 all-rounder Aayush Zimre has not only managed to grab attention of the internet circle but also impressed Virat Kohli.

Aayush Zimre who is a ball boy stole the spotlight during the opening episode between India and New Zealand after taking a outstanding one-handed catch of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Zimre is one of the important assets in the Mumbai U-16 team who is a potential left-arm spinner by trait. He picked 19 wickets in the U-14 tournament last year. He is a middle-order batsman.

Aayush Zimre said that he was actually getting bored as the ball was not coming in his direction. When Kohli hit a shot, he was not there exactly where the ball raced to the boundary line.

After when Kohli wielded the willow, Aayush Zimre had all eyes on the ball to put in the effort to do something spectacular.

“Actually, I was getting bored. The ball didn’t come in my direction. Even before Kohli hit that particular shot I was not in a standing position, but I saw his bat and tried to get myself in line of the ball.

I was totally blank after the incident, but later on, I didn’t miss a single ball,” said Aayush according to Mid-Day.

Aayush Zimre would be forever grateful to what Virat Kohli complimented the catch. Even the rival team players Munro, Bruce applauded the great deal of effort.

His was the best compliment for me. New Zealand’s Munro, Tom Bruce and a member of the support staff along with the spectators congratulated me too,” he added.

Nishigandh, father of Zimre went on to add saying that, “During his last match as a ball boy, only three to four balls came his way. I appreciate the fact that he kept his cricketing basics in mind and took this catch which was out of reach.”
