Virat Kohli responds to Sachin Tendulkar’s wedding greetings
Just like anyone from this generation, Virat Kohli is also a die-hard fan of the great Sachin Tendulkar.
Growing up as a child, Kohli used to imitate the great man and would dream of one day playing with the master blaster. Kohli grew up in a generation which placed Tendulkar on a pedestal and treated him like a demi-god.
And while most people could only dream of sharing a dressing room with Tendulkar, Kohli managed to play and even win a World Cup with the great man.
Ever since Tendulkar retired from the game, the onus had fallen on Kohli to become the linchpin of the Indian batting line-up, something that the Delhi batsman has done with aplomb.

Virat Kohli’s sensational batsman ship was the main reason why Indian cricket made the seam less transition into the post-Tendulkar era.
Now the captain of India, Kohli is the undisputed king of Indian cricket and carries the hopes and expectations of a billion people.
The last two calendar years have been landmark years for Kohli as he firmly established himself as one of the best, if not the best, batsman in world cricket.
This year in particular has been special for Virat, as he not only starred on an individual level but also captained his side to remarkable success.
Under Kohli, India recorded an unprecedented nine consecutive series wins and also reached the final of the Champions Trophy.
But their true test will begin next year when India travel oversees to South Africa, England and Australia.
Kohli will be looking to make a mark in foreign conditions particularly since he has just started his new innings off the field. The Indian skipper married long term partner Anushka Sharma in a private wedding a few days ago in Milan.
Eminent personalities from all over the world sent in their best wishes to the newly weds, including Virat’s childhood hero Sachin Tendulkar.
Virat responded on Twitter as he thanked the great man for his blessings.
“Thank You so much Paaji!”
Thank you so much Paaji 😊
