In the first ODI against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Indian Captain Virat Kohli was stumped after 7 years in International cricket off leg spinner Adil Rashid.

India won the toss and put England to bat first. On a Trent Bridge wicket at Nottingham, it felt as if 350 would be a par score. There was always fear that the English batsman were going to get after the Indian bowlers from ball one and then there would be mayhem all around.

However, as it turned out, India opened its bowling with Umesh Yadav and Siddharth Kaul. Both the bowlers were on the money from the first ball and did not allow England to get away easily.

After Kuldeep Yadav came into the picture, England were bundled up for 268.

Later, after Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed by Moeen Ali, Kohli stitched a great partnership with Rohit Sharma. Sharma went on to score a century while Virat Kohli assisted him brilliantly.

When Kohli was at 75, he got a good delivery from Adil Rashid. The ball spun viciously to beat the outside edge of Kohli’s bat.

Kohli leaned forward and tried to play his trademark drive. However, the ball spun more than he had anticipated and it went to Jos Buttler.

Kohli’s leg stretched outside the crease and Buttler did the rest. The skipper did not even wait for the Umpire’s decision as he walked off the field, knowing that he had been undone.
