India have made a terrific comeback to the test match as England are reduced to 86-6 at lunch on Day 3.

It almost seems like Virat Kohli can take no foot wrong in the first test match against England. After an extraordinary 149 in the first innings, the Indian captain took a brilliant catch on slip as India dismissed England’s sixth wicket to win the lunch session by a fair margin.

India took out five wickets in the first session, with three going Ishant Sharma’s way. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Alastair Cook yesterday evening, and continued his terror of turn on Day 3. He forced an outside-edge off Keaton Jennings, and trapped Joe Root on the leg-side to give India a couple of early breakthroughs.

Ishant Sharma then wreaked havoc on the English batting lineup, as he took out three quick wickets to give Indian an advantage in the test match. England currently leads by 99 runs with four wickets remaining.

Virat Kohli’s catch:

India’s slip-catching in the second innings makes their misses in the first innings a distant memory. Five of England’s six dismissals were down to edges towards slips, where the fielders made no mistake. After KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan, it was time for Virat Kohli to display his prowess in the slips.

In the final over before lunch, Ishant Sharma forced an outside edge off Ben Stokes, and Virat Kohli made no mistake in judging a low catch, diving to his left.
