On the field Virat Kohli could come across as someone who would generally not get along very well with the authorities. He is often seen contesting decisions and not keeping his emotions to himself with respect to decisions taken by on-field umpires.

The Indian skipper wears his heart on his sleeve and tries not to cross the line, even if it may seem otherwise to onlookers. Off the field Kohli shares a very warm relationship with his opponents and with the officials, an example of which was seen today when Kohli came up with his heartfelt wishes for Aleem Dar’s new charitable restaurant.

Aleem Dar’s restaurant

The esteemed umpire has gone onto setup a restaurant in Lahore, named ‘Dar’s Delighto’. A percentage of the proceeds from which will go into the construction of a school for ‘hearing impaired’ children who don’t have access to education in Pakistan.

Dar wants to help these children achieve their dreams through this school, as he feels education is the first step towards making it big in life.

In a special video for Aleem Dar, Kohli can be seen recommending the restaurant and congratulating Dar on the wonderful concept that he is working on.

Kohli wished Dar on a very successful venture and hoped that the restaurant would turn out to be as successful as his International umpiring career.

The restaurant had its grand opening on the 30th of December last year. It is known for its Mughlai cuisine and has very economical prices.

Dar also runs a cricket academy in Pakistan, which too tries to train children from backward socio-economic backgrounds, in order to help them make a career in Cricket.
