Vorskla vs Arsenal: UEFA has released a statement after rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
The tensions between Ukraine and Russia reignited after Russia captured three Ukrainian naval vessels in waters off Crimea on Sunday.
The relations between both the countries, as a result, have soured and reached a new low after Russia illegally took over Crimea four years ago.
The Ukrainian parliament is currently under process of taking a decision over the implementation of Martial Law in the country.
In footballing aspects, such tensions had a direct impact on the games to be played on the Ukrainian soil, and Arsenal’s Europa League clash against Vorskla was no different.
However, UEFA has released a statement on the same.

Despite Ukraine’s president calling for martial law, Arsenal’s game at Vorskla will go ahead as scheduled.

“Be aware of the current political situation (in particular the tension between Ukraine and Russia) and avoid any action or chanting that could provoke a hostile reaction from home fans,” read the Government travel advice to the fans.
Arsenal have qualified for the round-of-32 of the Europa League, and a win against Vorskla would all but guarantee the position at the top of the group. Justifiably, Unai Emery might consider resting a series of players for the match, as Arsenal will be playing Tottenham Hotspur in the league at the weekend.
Arsenal have an average annual pay of £4,853,130.
This ranks 39th in the world among all sports teams, and 5th in the Premier League.

Arsenal are currently 5th in the Premier League table. Chelsea’s loss to Tottenham on Saturday have pushed them down to 4th place, and Arsenal now remain only a point behind the Blues.

A win against Tottenham would bring Arsenal on level at points with Pochettino’s side, but a loss would further widen the gap to six points. The Gunners are currently on a 17-match unbeaten streak across all competitions.
