The Liverpool shot stopper has for the second time in a row lost his head
When Alisson Becker had stepped foot in the Premier League for the first time, his showdown with Leicester City had made him realise that this isn’t a competition to joke around in. Going for a fancy piece of skill in that encounter, the Liverpool goal-keeper had ended up conceding a horrid goal early into his life at the club.
However, he was quick to learn from that performance. Over the years, Alisson has hardly put a step in the wrong direction to emerge as not only one of the most pristine names in the league btu the global stage.
Unfortunately for Liverpool though, their shot stopper has lost his head in the last couple of weeks. Customary said to have a balanced head on his shoulder, Alisson conceded two horrific mistakes against Manchester City, both of which ended up finding their way into the net.
Alisson Makes A Meal Of Liverpool
And he was responsible for another horrendous and calamitous mistake come the side’s most recent outing. Taking on Leicester City on Saturday, Liverpool found themselves in control of the affair as the side controlled the tie as it built on Salah’s strike.
Alisson’s fault or Kabak’s fault?

However, a 7 minute period changed all that with Alisson being one of the guilt parties for the side’s 3-1 shock defeat on the day. The goal-keeper decided to come rushing out for a long aerial ball popped his way, one which Ozan Kabak clearly had covered.
A lack of communication between the two saw Liverpool fail to clear the ball with Alisson caught well outside of his goal. It was a pristine opportunity, one Jamie Vardy didn’t need another invitation to latch onto as he gave the home side a 2-1 lead on the day.
The error now sees Alisson having erred seven times for a goal since joining Liverpool. Whilst the mistake does little to take away from his stature, his scuffed showings and shaky form only add to Liverpool’s woes at the moment.
