Speaking of stars, Attitude Era Superstar Mick Foley also made an appearance on Raw tonight. The former WWE Champion is one of the major reasons WWE came out of the Monday night wars, the victor. He along with the Rock and Stone Cold helped shape WWE during WCW’s dominance. It was only natural that he would show up on the historic occasion. However, night didn’t go the way Foley must have originally planned.

Mick Foley came out to the ring and talked about history. He mentions being the guy who introduced the WWE universe to the 24/7 championship and vowed to take the title before the end of the night. Foley then proceeded to play a video of his highlights. However, the lights went out and the video stopped playing. Creepy music played as tension began building. The lights soon came on to reveal Bray Wyatt’s Fiend in the ring. He then attacked Mick Foley with the mandible claw to take him out.

Bray Wyatt’s sensational return was preceded by a successful series of Firefly Fun House. The WWE fans loved the mini-series. However, many have expressed concerns and doubts over how it would be translated in the ring. In his two appearances as the Fiend, fans have so far shown an interest. Hopefully the WWE have learned from their mistakes and will continue on the phenomenal wave of momentum Bray Wyatt is currently riding on.
