A few weeks ago, Jasprit Bumrah was tirelessly trying to break into India’s test squad. Today, Bumrah is already in his third test match, as the pacer has had a promising start to his test career.

Bumrah’s pace and swing caught everyone’s eyes in South Africa, as the Mumbai Indians star troubled the home team. His best moment came when he castled AB de Villiers with a peach of a delivery in the second test.

His big in-swinger has become his stock delivery, as Bumrah has managed to produce prodigious swing with this delivery.

After knocking over ABD earlier in the series, Bumrah sent back Faf du Plessis with another gem.

The South African captain expected the ball to comfortably miss the stumps. But unfortunately for him, Bumrah’s delivery jagged back in and crashed into the stumps.

Faf’s look of shock said it all, as Bumrah had a wide grin after getting the big scalp.

Day two of the third test match was expected to be an extremely crucial for India, as Kohli and his men had to get the better of South Africa in this test match.

After Kohli and Pujara put on a wonderful partnership on day one, the rest of the batting line-up folded quite easily. Much was expected from Rahane and Pandya, but neither batsman could put up much of a fight against the South African bowlers.

Rabada was the pick of the bowlers yesterday, as the young pacer picked up three wickets. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star man with both bat and ball in Joburg.

Kumar made 30 crucial runs in the first innings, before he picked up Markram late in the day. Bhuvi continued his form on day two, as he was the only bowler who got the ball to talk on a helpful pitch.

The fast bowler was extremely unlucky to not get more wickets, as Bhuvi troubled every South African batsman he faced.

Night watchman Rabada was a big thorn in India’s side, as the left-hander scored 30 invaluable runs for the home team.

Kohli and his men were visibly frustrated, as India saw their chances of winning the match slowly slip away.

But Bhuvi and then Ishant came to India’s rescue, as the South Africans quickly lost their way in the second session.
