WATCH: Kimi Raikkonen greets fans after the FIA gala
Kimi Raikkonen was at his hilarious best at the FIA gala, after the vodka that he had consumed prior to the main event, helped the Finn loosen up a little bit and display a quite different image of himself to the F1 world.
For long now, a lot of Kimi’s fan following has been garnered because of his brevity with the media and how he has held his own in a generation that feeds on social media.
But during the FIA gala, a new Kimi Raikkonen took centre stage, one that we had heard about, but definitely not one that we had been exposed to at such a large scale.
Raikkonen came into the gala drunk and completely stole the show, giving the FIA gala with some much needed impetus with respect to entertainment.
Kimi’s bromance with Vettel caught everyone’s eye, as the duo spent their last evening together as Ferrari teammates.
But what was even better to see was how Kimi embraced the fans post the gala, speaking to them and rushing towards them to sign autographs.
In the video released by a fan, Kimi can be seen showering his fans with ‘flying kisses’ and then embracing them with an autograph and a quick word
Check out the video:
The fans were obviously ecstatic when they saw their hero run towards them and take time out in order to click photos and sign autographs.
Kimi has seemed a little more relaxed ever since his move to Sauber was announced and maybe in his last 2 years in the sport, we will see a new Kimi Raikkonen take centre stage.
But do you want him to change?
