Manchester United wanted a result at home tonight, after the schooling they received on Sunday, when Pep Guardiola and his men made the Red Devils dance to their tunes at Old Trafford.
Jose wasn’t very happy with the refereeing decisions, especially the one where Herrera wasn’t awarded a penalty, but emphasised that his team put City off their game, and deserved more from the game.
A tricky game against the high scoring Bournemouth was always going to be tense, and it seemed so for the first half hour, when United couldn’t muster much in the final third, giving away possession way too often and having to defend a lot of those slick Bournemouth counter attacks.
But when it mattered most, Romelu Lukaku stepped up, trying to make up for this two costly errors in the Manchester Derby.
The ball was crossed into the box by Juan Mata, who picked up Lukaku with pin point precision before Lukaku, very efficiently headed the ball into the top corner.

Romelu Lukaku and Manchester United fans would be relieved, as Lukaku desperately needed to get on the score sheet after that shambolic performance on the weekend against City.
Jose Mourinho would be hoping that Manchester United can fend off this Bournemouth challenge and get those all important 3 points after a dissapointing result on the weekend.
