Right from arguing on the field to doing the same off it, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and former India opening batsman Gautam Gambhir have been at odds with each other several times in the past.

The former was once again put in a position where he was asked to comment on one of Gambhir’s tweet regarding the Pulwama attack. After the attack took place, Gambhir took to Twitter to hint a conversation with Pakistan on the battleground.

Afridi responds to Gambhir’s tweet

It is worth mentioning that Afridi is currently playing the Pakistan Super League for Multan Sultans. The 38-year old was asked about his views on Gambhir’s tweet while he was boarding the bus after one of Sultans’ recent matches.

Kya ho gaya usko [What has happened to him],” Afridi was quoted as saying about Gambhir. While he gave the impression of being unaware about Gambhir’s tweet, he also chose to not issue a statement about the same. Afridi ended up as ignoring the question and boarded the bus.

Given a tense situations prevailing between both the countries, Afridi perhaps did the right thing by not commenting on it. Being a celebrity, a statement from him could have easily taken in the wrong way by his fans in both the countries.
