WATCH: Umesh Yadav's pinpoint throw runs out Kagiso Rabada in Ranchi Test

Umesh Yadav’s pinpoint throw runs out Kagiso Rabada: The Indian fast bowler seems to be ticking all the boxes in Ranchi.

During the third day of the third Test of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India in Ranchi, India fast bowler Umesh Yadav put on display an effective fielding effort which saw South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada walking back to the pavilion.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 38th over when Rabada drove a Ravichandran Ashwin to Yadav at mid-off. It was a slight mis-field from Yadav which made the batsmen opt for a tight single.

The batsmen trying to sneak in a tight single saw Yadav collect the ball and throw it towards the non-striker’s end. A pinpoint throw saw the end of Rabada who was clearly short of making the crease. Coming in to bat at No. 9 in the 37th over, Rabada ended up scoring 0 (6).

Talking about Yadav, the 31-year old cricketer has been phenomenal across departments in this match. During the Indian innings yesterday, Yadav scored a hard-hitting 31 (10) with the help of five sixes to power India to 497/9 dec. in 116.3 overs.

Sharing the new ball with Mohammed Shami, Yadav drew first blood in his first over itself in the form of South Africa opening batsman Quinton de Kock (4). Earlier today, Yadav dismissed South Africa captain Faf du Plessis (1) in the first over of the day.
