WATCH: Vettel goes into the Mercedes garage to congratulate the team
Sebastian Vettel cut a distraught figure at the end of the Mexico GP, as he had lost out on a chance to fight for the world title, as Hamilton had attained an unassailable lead in the championship race after chequered flag in Mexico.
Max Verstappen had won the Mexico GP, but Hamilton, who secured P4 had enough points to ensure that the 5th world title was in the bag.
While Vettel was being questioned about where he went wrong this season, the German stopped DC right there and rushed to Hamilton to congratulate him on his 5th world title.
Vettel later revealed that he congratulated Hamilton on a well earned title, but asked him to keep fighting next year, as Ferrari would come back stronger.
And while the F1 fraternity had had their dose of the gentleman that Vettel is, he came up with yet another brilliant gesture, that of visiting the Mercedes garage and congratulating them on the brilliant win.
Check out the video:
Humility in victory, grace in defeat.
These are the attributes of great champions. 👏👏👏#MexicoGP 🇲🇽 #HiFive pic.twitter.com/kLoNVuEiFL

Vettel walked into the garage, congratulated all the engineers and even embraced Toto Wolff.
The gesture was extremely well received by Mercedes, as they posted a video about the same, saluting Vettel for his humility and wonderful gesture.
The constructor’s championship is still open though and Ferrari do have a slight chance of winning it, but will have to get some help from Mercedes, with just two races in the season to go.
With the driver’s championship wrapped up, do you think Mercedes can wrap up the constructor’s championship in the last two races, or will Ferrari spring a surprise and snatch away the win in the dying stages of the season?
