During the 40th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Bangladesh and India at Edgbaston, India defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs to enter the semi-finals of the tournament. With this defeat, Bangladesh has become the fifth team to be knocked out of the quadrennial tournament.
Team India had a decent outing on the field at Edgbaston, but a fielding lapse by one of their premier pacers in the tournament so far, left skipper Virat Kohli fuming like anything.

It all happened during the third delivery of the 27th over. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar bowled a length delivery outside the off stump to Bangladesh’s Litton Das, who plays it comfortably towards the mif-off region.
Das judged the run to perfection, and scampered through for a quick single. Jasprit Bumrah, who was stationed at mid-off sensed a run-out opportunity and had a shy at the stumps only to miss them altogether.
But, since there was no fielder backing-up, Litton again went in for the second run on the overthrow towards the Third Man region. Mohammad Shami, perhaps was not quite vigilant and in an attempt to quickly return the ball back to the wicket-keeper, fumbled the ball altogether to make a mess of it.
Virat Kohli, on witnessing the entire turn of events did what comes naturally to him in such cases. He absolutely vented his anger at Shami, and even asks him to wake up after the impulsive abuse hurled at him.
