Royal Challenger Bangalore’s opening of 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) didn’t start well as they lost their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But they came back stronger in the second game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

With the help of Umesh Yadav’s spell and AB De Villiers’s responsible knock, RCB won the match. With this win, RCB is currently at the fifth position in the points table.
As soon as Virat Kohli ended the post-match presentation ceremony, he rushed to the dressing room and called his wife, Anushka Sharma, who was present in the VIP box to cheer for the team. Virat indicated her to come downstairs.

After winning the toss, RCB’s skipper Virat Kohli elected to chase down the target as 7 out of 8 teams have won the match in this season so far.
KXIP got an aggressive start, but very soon Umesh Yadav picked the top three wickets in just one over. Only KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin were able to score above 30 runs in the inning. KXIP was all out for just 155 in 19.2 overs.
Coming to chase down the target, after Brendon McCullum was gone for a golden duc,k but Quinton de Kock played a responsible inning before he out got. RCB were 87/4 in 11.3 overs at a point and they seemed to head towards another defeat.
But the in-form batsman ABD played a cracking inning of 57 off just 40 balls which include 2 fours and 4 sixes. Washington Sundar hit 2 boundaries in the last over to take RCB to the first victory of the season.
