Kohli's catch to dismiss Pope

Virat Kohli’s catch to dismiss Pope in the 3rd Test as the Indian captain flies in the air to take a blinder

After another day of dominance by India in the third Test, England were 23 without loss in their second innings, requiring a further 498 runs to reach a massive victory target of 521, at stumps on the third day of the third Test against India at Trent Bridge.

At the start of play on day 4, Alastair Cook was not out on 9 and Keaton Jennings not out on 13 with England having a huge task in their hands to either survive six sessions or chase down 521.

As the play started, the Indian pace bowlers came out all guns blazing and within no time, Ishant Sharma dismissed both the openers. With the ball moving around, the England skipper Root and youngster Ollie Pope were finding it difficult to handle the pace and swing.

When Root was batting on 13, Jasprit Bumrah got the better of him and he was dismissed as a result of a neat catch by KL Rahul in the slips.

In the very next over, Mohammed Shami produced a full-outside off delivery to get Ollie Pope to play the square drive. He edged the ball and the Indian skipper, who was standing at the third slip took a blinder by diving to his left and completed the catch over his head two-handed. Pope was dismissed after making 16 runs.
