Lance Stroll has moved on from his forgetful season in Williams car and is looking forward to a new and refreshing season with Racing Point.
Stroll was often accused of being a ‘pay driver’ with Williams last season. He has been under constant scrutiny ever since, especially now, as he is going to be driving for his father’s team.
Now, post all that scrutiny that he has been under, Lance Stroll has himself taken a brutal dig at Williams.
Williams had a sorry year in 2018, with the team themselves admitting to the fact that the car was just not fast enough.

Stroll emphasised on his Abu Dhabi test times with Racing Point, signalling that those times prove how good he can be if provided with a good enough car.
“All I can say is that the car was badly born last year and the engineers did not know how to develop it during the season,” responding to criticism from Williams technical director, Paddy Lowe.
“When I took part in a test session two days after the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi, I was 1.4 seconds faster in a car I had never driven.
“I think the times did the talking in Abu Dhabi. But it’s a thing of the past. I’m starting a new chapter in my career.” he added.

Speaking about how Racing Point was approaching the upcoming season, Stroll said that the team was looking forward to the challenge and had it in them to get a few podium finishes under their belt.
“We have an outstanding organisation, which we have proved in recent years with limited resources,” he said.
“We don’t want to be at the back of the pack, which happened too often last year”
“Podiums are achievable. Our new team has the means to beat many teams in F1.” he added.
