WOL vs CHE Fantasy Prediction: Chelsea slip to their first defeat in 19 matches after a listless display against Everton.
When Lampard met Ancelotti, a manager he had thrived under at Chelsea, this contest had the makings of a riveting affair. Despite Ancelotti being the more well-versed manager, it was his student Lampard who was largely touted to come out on top in the showdown.
With Everton dwindling in form and failing to keep a cleansheet since gameweek 1 and Chelsea on an 18 match unbeaten spree, the visitors set to canter their way to an easy three points. However, if the Premier League has taught us anything, its that nothing can be taken for granted and the London based club learnt that the hard way.
Dishing out on of their worst performances of the season, a lacklustre and meek Chelsea side was downed 1-0 on the day. Failing to compensating for injured attacking names, Chelsea had little answers to Everton’s resilient brand of defending as they completely collapsed as an attacking setup.
Probable Winner
Now back on the pitch today, two days after that abysmal display, Chelsea face another testing tie in the identity of Wolverhampton. Much to Chelsea’s relief, Wolverhampton are in horrendous form, a club which the visitors should be able to putdown and revert to winning ways.

WOL vs CHE Fantasy Prediction
Goal-keeper
At a time when his attack has floundered, Rui Patricio has seen the onus grow on him. And he’s as ever been the source of solace for the club, a player who has done everything within his repertoire to keep his side’s goal unblemished.
Defenders
On a day when Chelsea failed to fathom together anything meaningful in attack, Reece James emerged as a shining light for the club. A silver lining on an otherwise cloudy day, the fullback was immaculate as he persistently kept himself involved in the side’s attacks.
Ben Chilwell with the one goal and two assist will join up along with CB Kurt Zouma who is currently in the best bit of form he’s been at since his foray into Chelsea’s setup.
Mid-fielders
Christian Pulisic was given a precautionary rest against Everton but given Chelsea’s ineptness at working the flanks without him, the player should be back for the side today. Mason Mount’s ability to work the midfield and turnover possession sees him and the ever diligent N’Golo Kante form our three man pick from the club.
Wolverhampton will meanwhile feature Leander Dendoncker who is truning into a real prized asset for the club owing to his versatile skill set. In Moutinho’s absence, Ruben Neves will be asked to take charge of the club’s midfield, a role he’s cherished across the last two seasons.
Strikers
With three goals and the two assists, Pedro Neto retains his place in our setup from the home team. Chelsea will meanwhile as ever see their top scorer, striker Timo Werner line up for us yet again.
Captain and vice-captain
Werner’s four goals and three assists make him our captain while James is the vice-captain.
Fantasy Team
Rui, James, Kurt, Ben, Kante, Mount, Pulisic, Dendoncker, Neves, Werner, Neto.
