WWE signing Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega expresses interest in facing WWE SmackDown Star. The AEW World Champion said it would be cool to mix it up with the WWE talent.

It is unlikely that AEW and WWE talent will be allowed to appear together on the same show while booked by their respective companies. Yeah, Chris Jericho appeared on the Broken Skulls Session but there is more on Vince McMahon’s relationship with Jericho and Stone Cold than his desire to work with AEW.

That however, hasn’t stopped Buddy Murphy from name dropping Kenny Omega’s name on social media. When asked what his dream match outside of WWE would be, the former Cruiserweight Champion did not hesitate to name the AEW World Champion’s name.

The comment soon caught Omega’s attention. The cleaner responded by saying that Murphy was the kind of athlete he enjoyed watching before expressing his interest in mixing it up with him as well.

“Murphy is the type of athlete I enjoy watching. Be cool to mix it up with him. Little known fact is that I almost played COD with him. I think Danny Limelight stole his spot. (Not surprising knowing what I know now about him)”

Despite being very talented Murphy hasn’t been used much on television since the end of his storyline with Seth Rollins last year. Omega on the other hand, has become increasingly important for AEW, ending Jon Moxley’s 9 month reign to climb atop the AEW mountain.

The two may very well face each other one day. But the chance of it happening in a WWE ring are almost slim to none.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
