Dabba Kato interferes to help Apollo Crews beat Big E in the Nigerian Drum Fight for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 37.

This was one of the most anticipated matches on the card. What is the Nigherian Drum Fight? What exactly are the rules? A lot of people womdered. Turns out, there are no rules, no limitations and anything goes. Not too different from your basic No Disqualification match then.

Lets first talk about how Wale accompanied Big E to the ring. This should make it abundantly clear how the WWE views him; Top star in the making.

This is surely just the beginning of what he will do in the singles division. Now lets us talk about the match.

Despite being a gimmick match, there was no overcomplicated concept. The rules were simple, do whatever it takes to hurt your opponent and that’s what both men tried all through the match. The match began with both of them striking each other with kendo sticks. A spear through the ropes sent Crews to the floor.

A moment like that would be the highlight of any other match but the most brutal moment was still to come. The Champion caught Crews in a Urange on to the Steel steps outside the ring.

Crews found his back into the match with a barrage of Kendo sticks. He looked to finish the match with a splash after laying Big E on the table but the champion moved out at the last second sending Crews through the table. Big E delivered the Big Ending but just when he thought, he had the win in the bag, Dabba Kato interfered. He took Big E out for Crews and helped to an Intercontinental win.

This was a very good physical match. The only and very minor issue with this is the commentary pretending they didn’t know who Dabba Kato was, otherwise it was a fun hardcore encounter adding a little variety to the night.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
