Sheamus beats Riddle for the United States Championship at Wrestlemania 37

Sheamus beats Riddle for the United States Championship at Wrestlemania 37. The match ended with one of the most brutal looking Brogue Kick.

If night one was about technical masterpieces, tonight has been mostly about power bar Zayn and Owens and when it comes to power, Sheamus is one of the first WWE Superstars to come to mind. This was a hard hitting encounter that wanted you to believe that the particpants were looking to hurt each other and succeeded to do so.

Sheamus walked in as the challenger to Riddle’s United States Championship. He attacked Riddle as soon as the bell rang, The champion fought back but Sheamus cornered him with elbows before slamming him onto the mat. Sheamus later climbed the top rope only for Riddle to run and deliver a belly-to-belly overhead suplex.

With momentum now on his side, Riddle carried on his onslaught with consecutive corner suplexes, an exploder, the Bro-ton and the jackhammer. Unfortunately for him, all that got him was a two count. Sheamus smashed Riddle with a Brogue kick but the champion somehow kicked out at two.


Riddle tried to end the match with a submission but Sheamus powered out of the move. Riddle tried again with a sleeper but the Irishman forced the break by grabbing the ropes. The exasperated Champion went for the springboard moonsault but was caught by a brutal Brogue Kick from Sheamus mid-air.


There was no recovering from that. One, Two, Three, Sheamus is your new United States Champion. An apt reward for being one of the best perforners in the last few months for the WWE.
