WWE Champion return Draft

WWE is preparing to host its first-ever Draft under Triple H’s regime. The Draft begins this Friday on SmackDown and will continue the following week on Raw. The Chief Content Officer, Triple H, has confirmed that this year’s Draft is going to be revolutionary. That said, a recent report indicates the return of former WWE Champion Big E. The member of The New Day has been MIA for over a year due to a severe neck injury.

In March 2022, Big E competed in a tag team match against Sheamus and Ridge Holland. It was in that match that Big E suffered his grave neck injury on WWE TV. Although the 37-year-old was speculated to make his return earlier at WrestleMania 39, E never showed up. However, he looks healthy and ready to run the ropes.

Former WWE Champion Big E is reportedly going to make his return at the WWE Draft 2023

WRKD Wrestling reports that BIG E is potentially going to make his long-awaited return at the WWE Draft 2023. The two-time Intercontinental was originally signed to SmackDown.

It will be compelling to see the returning star reunite with The New Day members. However, it should be noted that Kofi Kingston has also been out of action since before WrestleMania 39. Kingston is recovering from a leg injury.

“One name rumored to return during the upcoming draft is former WWE champion, Big E.”

“Big E has been sidelined with a major neck injury since March ‘22.”

Big E was once separated from The New Day during the Draft pick of 2020. Then-tag team Champions, Kofi and Xavier, were drafted to Raw.

We will have to wait and see if Big E returns at the Draft. And if he does, will he remain on SmackDown or be drafted to Raw? Another report from WRKD Wrestling indicates that Big E will most likely stay on SmackDown for a major feud.

WWE is reportedly looking to pit a returning Big E against Gunther

According to WRKD Wrestling, WWE has plans of having the Imperium take on The New Day. Of course, Big E’s return will not complete The New Day. However, the “centerpiece” of the feud between the factions would lead to a major match between Big E and Gunther.

The reigning IC Champion has been on a roll since he arrived at SmackDown. Gunther hasn’t lost a match since his debut on the main roster. It remains to be seen if Big E turns out to be the first-ever to hand Gunther his first loss.

“Despite a loss to Gunther on #Smackdown, one long term backstage pitch has seen Xavier Woods and a fully healed Big E and Kofi Kingston feuding with Imperium once the New Day are ready to return. The centerpiece for the feud would be Big E facing Gunther,” tweeted WRKD Wrestling.
