Drew McIntyre responds to Sheamus saying he’s not that interesting

Drew McIntyre responds to Sheamus saying he’s “not that interesting”. The former WWE Champion poked back at the United States Champion.

If not for the Pandemic, 2020 was virtually perfect for Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior won the Royal Rumble and beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. He then went on to held the title for much of the rest of the year and was believed to be RAW’s answer to Roman Reigns.

McIntyre became RAW’s focal point both on screen and off screen and was regualarly seen on television as well as other media.

United States Champion Sheamus though, jokingly told Ryan Satin that McIntyre is “not that interesting” when it comes to the amount of media he does for the company.

McIntyre responded to the comment during his recent interview with GiveMeSport.

Drew McIntyre responds to Sheamus saying he’s “not that interesting”

“Somebody is a little bit jealous that nobody wants to speak to Sheamus very often. I know the tone they said it in as well, he’s messing around. We mess with each other. Then the dirtsheets grab the headline and go, ‘Sheamus says McIntyre not interesting.’

“If you listen, you’ll hear the tone. He’s just messing around. I’m gonna give him crap. I already texted him and said, ‘Come on, buddy, I’ll send some media your way. I do 95 hours a week, you’re a little bit jealous. You want some more screen time, some more TV time, I’ll look after you.'”

McIntyre also revealed that he asked the WWE to let him do as much media as possible and explained why.

“I did push, ‘give me as much as possible, give me the ball.’ I always wanted the opportunity to represent the company. Obviously on-screen in a high capacity, but also off-screen to try and draw those new eyeballs in for a number of reasons.

“The biggest one of all this year is growing that confidence. I saw it as a unique opportunity; if I’m going to be home, I wanted to start working on things that are maybe my weak areas, but are very important in WWE. Obviously, getting good at media is a big part of it.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
